Visual Branding is a technique to help you identify how you want others to perceive you. Do you want to appear intelligent, studious or successful? How about in control, commanding, an expert? Defining what message you want to get across is the essence of branding; the more focused you are on a particular message the easier it will be to portray it successfully. For instance, a sales manager, desiring to convey that what he is selling is the best product on the market, would choose to be visually branded as confident. Confidence is best portrayed visually and non-verbally by wearing power colors and accents in clothing, making eye contact and using superb manners. If, on the other hand, you want to visually brand as "down to earth" (for example if you were a mediator in court cases) the opposite tack would be taken: less power and more empathy.
